Phuket Local And Street Food Market

Also known as Punte Local and Street Food Market, this newly opened food court has around 12 food stalls serving both their own signature dishes with variations set up in a nicely-designed, eye-catching setting.

We headed here for a quick breakfast during the Phuket vegetarian festival to have some great noodles at their noodles food stall. There is no meat served at any restaurant during the vegetarian festival but even the vegetable noodles were ravishing. You can watch the video of our entire breakfast experience on YouTube!

Food courts are pretty common in Thailand but this new food court is a tad bit more special, and here’s why.

The food is absolutely delectable. The Hokkien noodles are to die for, and many people also love the tofu, soup, wonton, dim sum, and steamed chicken rice available at the different stalls. These are just a few out of the 12 restaurants available serving dishes from many cuisines. They also serve all types of meat from seafood to chicken, and so much more cooked to perfection which every meat lover loves to eat.

Simple Yet Welcoming Ambience

Breakfast is the best time to be here because it is not as busy as it usually is which we prefer. Still, even when it is packed with locals and tourists, it has an enjoyable atmosphere even in the late afternoon or night. Almost everyone at the food stalls has wide smiles on their faces and they even serve food to the table most often which is not common at food courts. The overall setup is also very inviting and has a mix of modern aesthetics and a local atmosphere.

Good Value For Money

The stalls are not the cheapest in town but are reasonably priced for the exceptional food served.

Conveniently Located Close To The Fun Phuket Night Markets

Phuket Old Town is famous for its endless markets with great deals on clothes, food, souvenirs, and many bits and pieces of anything you can imagine. Luckily for visitors to the food court, you need to pass one market or the other and can browse through and get a variety of things. They also have street performances of dances, Muay Thai fights, and other interesting events. You can also say hi to other travelers and so many Thai people.

The Phuket weekend market is really fun and so is the Chillva market from Monday to Saturday and the special Sunday night market. So whatever meal you’re heading for, a special market will be happening. If you’re looking for markets outside of Phuket Town, the Naka market and Karon temple market are some of the best ones out there.
